Argon & Co Netherlands has entered into a partnership with the KNZB. As Official Partner of the TeamNL Women’s Water Polo Team, Argon & Co is proud to support elite sport at the highest level.

The KNZB, the Royal Dutch Swimming Federation, is the national federation for swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming and open water swimming in the Netherlands. The federation supports athletes, clubs and national teams, and plays an important role in the development of aquatic sports from grassroots level through to elite performance.

The partnership

The ambition of both parties is to create a visible and lasting impact together at the highest level of the sport, with a view to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.

Professional sport and Argon & Co are strongly connected by a shared focus on performance, teamwork, data-driven improvement and the pursuit of sustainable results. Just as top athletes continuously optimise the way they train, collaborate and perform, Argon & Co helps organisations improve the way they operate, from strategy through to measurable impact.Within the partnership with the KNZB, Argon & Co will make an important contribution to the further professionalisation and development of the women’s water polo programme.

A first important step within the partnership was Argon & Co’s role as main sponsor of the recent World Cup held in Rotterdam. During the tournament, the TeamNL Women’s Water Polo Team finished second and qualified for the World Cup in Australia this coming summer.

For Argon & Co, the event provided a valuable platform. Throughout the tournament, we welcomed our clients and business relations. They attended, among other activities, an inspiring session with international player Sabrina van der Sloot, who shared her experiences as a top athlete and explained how teamwork and preparation contribute to high performance. Guests also had the opportunity to see the women’s water polo team in live action.

Arjan van Moorsel, Partner at Argon & Co Netherlands, commented on the partnership:

“At Argon & Co, we help our clients grow and perform, from strategy through to results. The TeamNL Women’s Water Polo Team is an inspiration to us, showing how talent, mindset and teamwork lead to world-class performance. It is an honour to experience TeamNL’s journey towards Los Angeles 2028 up close, together with our relations. We look back on a fantastic World Cup in Rotterdam last week, and it certainly leaves us wanting more.”

Sven Rouwenhorst, Partnership Manager at the KNZB, sees the partnership as a positive development:

“It is positive that, together with our new partner, we can support the women’s water polo team in achieving new successes. As a new partner in the sport, Argon & Co immediately demonstrated its commitment during the World Cup in Rotterdam. We are proud of the partnership and look forward to working together in the years ahead.”

Arno Havenga, Technical Director Water Polo at the KNZB, is also looking forward to the collaboration:

“The partnership with Argon & Co gives an impulse to the development of our TeamNL Women’s Water Polo Team. Their vision on growth and continuous improvement aligns seamlessly with the elite sports mentality of the team. We look forward to making an impact together, both in and outside the pool.”

The partnership has been established with a long-term vision. In addition to the shared ambition towards the 2028 Olympic Games, an option has been included to extend the partnership through to the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane.
