Argon & Co CoM Munich 3

Last week, members of our global manufacturing team met in Munich for Redzone’s Champions of Manufacturing 2026. The event brought manufacturers together to celebrate achievements on the shop floor and explore the future of the connected workforce.

Redzone is a world-leading connected workforce platform. It empowers shop floor teams to make better-informed decisions and take action during every shift, bridging the gap between enterprise and manufacturing execution systems. We shared more about our partnership with Redzone, and Argon & Co’s Manufacturing Operating and Digital Excellence (MODE) system, and how the two solutions can embed world-class capabilities into daily operating routines.

With manufacturers facing increasing cost pressures, a clear theme emerged: digital technologies such as Redzone and MODE are helping organisations not only survive, but thrive in challenging conditions.

Embracing digital tools

Redzone and MODE are designed to empower the shop floor. They capture the feedback and value that people contribute to daily operations, while establishing standard routines and embedding best practice.

For organisations looking to take their manufacturing operations to the next level, several practical takeaways stood out:

  1. Change requires leadership presence: Operations are at the heart of every manufacturing business. Changing processes and culture requires leaders to set the right example on the shop floor and celebrate success
  2. Empowering the shop floor is critical to sustainable impact: Continuous improvement teams and projects can deliver significant benefits, but sustaining those benefits requires shop floor teams to own the changes. There is no shortcut
  3. AI delivers value when rooted in context: Agents that draw on data from manufacturing operations can provide relevant insights and feedback, helping teams make informed and timely decisions
  4. Digital tools empower people, rather than replace them: Teams are using digital tools to share knowledge, communicate and work together more effectively, not to replace human knowledge and experience
  5. Innovation can require a step back to move forward: Aidan McCullen, host of The Innovation Show podcast and annual Innovation Summit, shared examples of how failing to reinvent can leave businesses uncompetitive. Rethinking established ways of working may feel like a step backwards, but it can create a much stronger trajectory for the future
  6. Measure the journey: Capturing improvement over time requires organisations to establish a baseline, continually assess progress and celebrate successes with the whole team. That sense of achievement is critical to building momentum and engaging the wider business

The future of manufacturing

Technology is not here to replace people. Providing the right digital tools connects and empowers the workforce. Organisations adopting these technologies are unlocking previously untapped value in their manufacturing operations, while generating insights that help them respond faster and remain competitive.

Thank you to Redzone for a high-energy event, and to the manufacturers who shared their inspiring transformation stories. We look forward to continuing the journey and building world-class manufacturing operations together, globally.

We’ll be continuing the conversation with Redzone in our upcoming webinar, exploring the role of connected workforce technology in supporting sustainable performance improvement. Click below for more information and to register.
