They are <a href=\"https:\/\/logistics.cmail20.com\/t\/d-l-nhkudhk-yktlhluyc-t\/\">building multi-story warehouses<\/a> (WSJ story, limited reads per month) maximizing capacity in tight square footage. Buildings like this are already built around the world, so it seems we are catching up. This shift in planning is driven by quick delivery &#8211; the hot topic with all retail operations because it shortens delivery expenses (not to mention time).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NEXT Trucking raises funds<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kbcchannel.tv\/tech\/next-trucking-raises-97-million-to-streamline-freight-transport\/\">NEXT Trucking was able to raise funds for its next<\/a> round of the startup, based in Los Angeles, counts 15,000 drivers on its platform, and 60 in-house employees. They have been able to raise around 27 million, as quoted in KBC Channel &#8220;most of which arrived via its series B round last January, and with another $97 million in the bank it plans to \u201caccelerate product innovation,\u201d which includes bringing a new product called Relay to market.&#8221; Relay is being developed as a product to ease congestion at ports. \u201cThe logistics space is under more pressure than ever before \u2014 with more shipments coming into our ports than drivers and warehouses have the capacity to manage,\u201d noted Next CEO, Lidia Yan. \u201cWe look forward to bringing new innovations to market to address this issue head-on and growing our team with the best and brightest <a title=\"technology\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kbcchannel.tv\/tag\/technology\/\">technology<\/a> talent in Southern California.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Kenosha, WI booming for warehouse jobs?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If Kenosha is any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jsonline.com\/story\/money\/business\/2019\/01\/23\/pay-isnt-great-but-warehouse-jobs-booming-especially-kenosha\/2598476002\/\">indicator about what is going on, warehouse jobs are on the rise.<\/a> While Amazon and Uline in Kenosha make warehouse jobs plentiful, other organizations are also hiring.
