We&#8217;re also researching trends for 2019 and we are helping existing clients ready themselves for Peak Season this year and planning for next, so we will remain busy in the coming months!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Manufacturing slowdown?<\/strong> U.S. manufacturing has slowed down in July, just as we linked to stories about manufacturing leasing going at a quick pace right now. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-usa-economy\/trade-tensions-labor-shortages-loom-over-u-s-factories-idUSKBN1KM576\"><em>Reuters<\/em> Business News<\/a> reports that the &#8220;economic momentum to slow because of capacity constraints at factories and cooling global demand.&#8221; The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instituteforsupplymanagement.org\/index.cfm?SSO=1\">Institute for Supply Management (ISM)<\/a> said that the index of &#8220;national factory activity&#8221; fell to 58.1 last month from 60.2 in the previous month.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Supply chain disruption?<\/strong> As technology comes into focus, many clients review, revise and make changes in their operations, and it can be challenging, as you might imagine.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cio.com\/article\/3290467\/supply-chain-management\/what-s-disrupting-supply-chain-and-procurement.html\"><em> CIO<\/em> reports on several items of technology disrupting supply chain operations,\u00a0<\/a>including sensors, inventory, bots, 3D printing, blockchain and AI. <em>Side note from About page on CIO: <\/em>CIO attracts the highest concentration of enterprise CIOs and business technology executives with unparalleled peer insight and expertise on business strategy, innovation, and leadership.
