This week &#8211; May 6 &#8211; 12th &#8211; it&#8217;s the\u00a0<a id=\"content_monthRepeater_itemRepeater_4_link_21\" href=\"https:\/\/healthfinder.gov\/NHO\/nho.aspx?year=2018#180\">North American Occupational Safety and Health Week.\u00a0<\/a>Here is some information about the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asse.org\/newsroom\/naosh\/what-is-naosh-week\/\">awareness week from The American Society of Engineers. <\/a>If you&#8217;re interested in statistics of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osha.gov\/oshstats\/index.html\">workplace safety, visit OSHA&#8217;s site<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wall Street Journal&#8217;s <\/strong>Dana Mattioli and Jennifer Smith report that<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Prologis Inc. is shoring up it&#8217;s portfolio with its agreement to buy DCT Industrial Trust Inc. in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/logistics.cmail19.com\/t\/d-l-ouydyhk-ydullidhjk-j\/\">an $8.4 billion stock-for-stock transaction<\/a>. DCT is small &#8211; about 1\/10 of the size of Prologis, (world\u2019s biggest manager of distribution centers and other logistics properties). Quoting the article title on the WJS&#8217;s daily Logistics Report is &#8220;strong demand for logistics proprieties fueled by the e-commerce boom is triggering upheaval in the commercial real-estate sector.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/newsletters?sub=365&amp;mod=djemlogistics\">Be sure to sign up for their report, here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>AgWeb has a short <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/\">Bloomberg<\/a> report on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agweb.com\/article\/blockchain-technology-enters-shipping-sector\/?mod=djemlogistics\"><strong>Blockchain Technology Enters Shipping Sector<\/strong><\/a>. AgWeb reports, &#8220;The key, as in so many other industries, from oil tankers to cryptocurrencies, is blockchain, the electronic ledger system that allows transactions to be verified autonomously. And the benefits wouldn\u2019t be confined to shipping.
