We know that meant many of our clients were already in or just getting ready to start their peak season with Black Friday and throughout the month. Because it&#8217;s never too early to plan, we&#8217;re working with clients right now on <a href=\"http:\/\/crimsonandco.info\/blog\/how-to-make-peak-season-the-best-ever\/\">peak season 2018 AND 2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heard of Generation Z? We have. There&#8217;s much to be said about how <a href=\"https:\/\/nrf.com\/blog\/how-gen-z-is-influencing-retailers-acquisition-strategies\">Gen Z is influencing retailers&#8217; acquisition strategies<\/a>. Online<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dormify.com\"> store Dormify reports<\/a> that\u00a0they aren&#8217;t just focusing on selling their goods, they want to be more &#8211; and they do it helping shoppers through the key events in their lives. For example, they hire college-aged stylists to help customers design their dorm rooms and it&#8217;s been a very successful strategy. Marketers are banking on Gen Zers to be focused on being part of the DIY generation.<\/li>\n<li>The Verge is reporting that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2017\/11\/15\/16655840\/walmart-raising-online-prices-sales-store-traffic-amazon-competition\">Walmart is raising prices online to encourage people <\/a>to come in their stores (research says in person is best, but I would have to disagree&#8230; I impulse shop all the time).\u00a0Walmart and Costco are similar in that their strategies line up: \u00a0sells items in bulk and are cheaper to buy in stores than online.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/markets.businessinsider.com\/news\/stocks\/amazon-headquarters-could-be-worth-2-billion-hq2-2017-11-1009927508\">Two billion dollars in the figure<\/a> that is being used to describe what cities across the country are competing for in terms of commerce. There&#8217;s an Atlanta suburb vying for the chance to become home to the new office. Good luck to everyone (and especially Atlanta!).<\/li>\n<li>Yes, we might be p<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2017\/10\/26\/ups-expects-to-ship-750-million-packages-this-holiday-season.html\">aying a little more for shipping t<\/a>his year.
