Traffic jams were reported on roads to totality and more so on roads after the eclipse. Did it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\/business\/ct-eclipse-workplace-0821-biz-20170818-story.html\">cost businesses just through the distraction, as mentioned in this article?<\/a><\/li>\n<li>IBM, Walmart and other large grocery players are embarking on the use of technology to help with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/ibm-and-walmart-are-using-blockchain-in-the-food-supply-chain-2017-8\">global blockchain in food supply<\/a>. Business Insider reports, &#8220;In the food supply context, a blockchain could be used to keep\u00a0track of every single thing that happens to individual or groups of food products. That could make it easier to find out where a shipment of a particular product has been, say, or\u00a0at what\u00a0point in the supply chain it was contaminated. Such information could potentially prevent major outbreaks of foodborne illnesses.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Well&#8230; it was bound to happen, right? <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supplychain247.com\/article\/walmart_teams_up_with_google_to_take_on_amazon\/news\">Supply Chain 24\/7 reports that Google and Walmart are entering into a partnership<\/a>, to help compete with Amazon.\u00a0The partnership with Alphabet Inc.&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.supplychain247.com\/search\/results\/search&amp;keywords=Google\/\">Google<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.supplychain247.com\/search\/results\/search&amp;keywords=Walmart\/\">Walmart<\/a>\u00a0will allow consumers to use \u00a0voice-activated device\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.blog.google\/products\/assistant\/shop-walmart-and-more-your-favorite-stores-faster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google Home<\/a>, the Google Express app or its Website to order products.
