The role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our US practice, with offices in Atlanta and Chicago. As a Business Development Manager, you will serve as a thought leader working directly with the US Partners and contribute to the US market strategy for existing client account growth and new business by surfacing viable leads, supporting proposal creation, and managing the overall pipeline. Your outstanding communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills will be crucial to effectively engage with all levels of the organization.

As a Business Development Manager at Argon & Co, you will:

  • Sales & Business Development Pipeline management
  • CRM management
  • Lead activation, including the quantitative analysis required to surface leads
  • Relationship research and activation
  • Industry and prospective client due diligence / research
  • Analysis and reporting on the Practice’s commercial performance
  • Collaborate with Argon & Co leadership to support sales cycle activities, including proposal development and client presentations as needed
  • Manage a team of business development coordinators, supporting lead generation and Partner outreach

Ideal qualifications consist of:

  • Self stater with strong work ethic that can make a positive impact without a great deal of direction
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience, preference toward candidates with prior Consulting experience or Business Development / Corporate Development experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience working with large data sets also preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization and executive leaders within external organizations
  • Mature business acumen, presence, interpersonal/communication skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting team members
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and client management
  • Ability to resolve complex issues and non-defined problems autonomously
  • Excellent capabilities within the MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Competency in CRM and BI tools is an advantage

While Argon & Co is global, this position is a hybrid role out of the Chicago or Atlanta office two days a week , with occasional travel. The salary range is $85,000 – $95,000.
