We are delighted to share that Argon & Co has been awarded the Procurement Consultancy Award for our work with CooperVision at The Global Procurement & Supply Chain Awards.<\/p>\n

The award honours consulting companies that have shown exceptional expertise and guidance to clients, driving procurement excellence and delivering measurable results. Along with this award, we are also honoured to have been shortlisted for the Procurement Transformation Award for our work with Pluxee, reflecting five years of work, alongside the spin-off from Sodexo for the last year.<\/p>\n

Our work with Coopervision<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Background<\/strong><\/p>\n

CooperVision, a leading contact lens manufacturer, was looking to undergo a significant procurement transformation in distribution. The project aimed to leverage opportunities arising from the company’s rapid growth and the industry shift towards daily disposable lenses, which had caused increased demand and logistical complexities.<\/p>\n

Our Approach<\/strong><\/p>\n

We began with a comprehensive 12-week operational review, analysing CooperVision’s logistics procurement and operational processes. This involved consolidating data from 160 sources into a dashboard, providing valuable insights into costs, network flows, and carbon emissions for smarter decision-making.<\/p>\n

Outcome<\/strong><\/p>\n

The transformation has yielded impressive results. CooperVision has realised double-digit percentage savings across 29 addressable lanes for global intercompany air shipments, and similarly high savings across six addressable lanes for road shipments, as well as three European final mile lanes.<\/p>\n

Our work extended beyond cost savings, addressing changes that enabled a shift from a regional to a centralised operating model. We also focused on sustainability, establishing a carbon emissions baseline using the ISO 14083:2023 Standard, laying the groundwork for future decarbonisation efforts.\"\"<\/p>\n
