We had a wonderful time attending the Management Consultancies Association’s 2019 award ceremony which celebrates the best consultancy examples in the UK, in both the private and public sector. The event is always a highlight in the consultancy calendar, with over 21 award categories.

This year we were delighted to be nominated in two categories, ‘Consulting Excellence firm of the Year Award’ and ‘Change and Transformation in the Private Sector Award’ for our work with Bristol-Myers Squibb which recognises a structured and sustainable transition from a current  state to a desired state involving major, sometimes fundamental and far-reaching, changes in how an organisation does things.

We were fortunate enough to pick up the highly commended place in the Change and Transformation in the Private Sector Award category, for our work with Bristol-Myers Squibb. This project was to help establish their European Capability Centre in Chester. BMS are a large pharmaceutical company with a mission to discover, develop and deliver innovative medicines to patients suffering from serious diseases.

Setting up the ECC provided many challenges, with multiple languages and different rules and regulations for each country. However, by adopting our Assess Design Embed® approach, we were able to create a bustling, multicultural centre which today accommodates over 300 people. Alongside this inclusive culture, the centre has excellent staff retention rates above industry standards.

Well done to all those nominated and the winners from the night, we look forward to next year’s event!
